Overview

Phoenox Textiles are a Yorkshire based flooring textile manufacturer, specialising in producing sustainable, high quality rugs and doormats across a variety of brands. Phoenox sell their products to retailers across the UK via their B2B trade portal.

The client however wasn’t impressed with their previous trade portal and were looking for a new solution that they could get more out of. Phoenox wanted to be able to service their customers better and provide them with a more personalised experience. They also weren’t happy with the fact that their B2B trade portal and their brand’s website were on two separate platforms, providing a disjointed experience to customers. So they approached Wonder for help, seeking our recommendations for the best platform to rebuild their trade portal on.

We recommended migrating to a Shopify Plus website due to the built-in B2B functionality and unique customisations the platform allows that a normal Shopify site doesn’t. By choosing Shopify Plus, Phoenox would be able to create custom catalogues for each of their customers and customise the checkout process with enhanced features. 

The project also involved optimising the content across the Phoenox website, developing copy across product collections and their brand story to engage and inform customers while ensuring everything was optimised for SEO.

The Outcome

Using the comprehensive capabilities of Shopify Plus, we developed a seamless and user-friendly B2B website for Phoenox that offers a better, more personalised shopping and sales experience. By merging their B2B portal and WordPress website into one, users can now find the relevant product information they need, such as descriptions and pricing, and make a purchase all from one platform. 

We provided the client with a flexible solution that allowed them to easily make customisations, scale the website as they required and change content seamlessly to display new products and promotions. 

Phoenox are incredibly happy with their new website and the increased functionality they now have to target B2B customers. The new platform has also enhanced efficiencies internally and has allowed them to manage their internal operations more effectively.
