We’re on the lookout for an SEO Analyst to join our wonderful team. Here at Wonder we’re a passionate bunch, whether it’s data analytics, digital marketing or beer - we’d like to find someone who shares this same attitude. 

We’d love to hear from you if you’re keen to develop your abilities, progress quickly and learn new skills. If you have SEO experience, a head for data and a good knowledge of digital marketing, this may very well be right up your street. As we are a growing agency we’re looking for someone who has good initiative and is able to adapt.

On a daily basis you will be working towards developing marketing campaigns for our clients. Whether it be content, web analytics or UX, you’ll be advising on approaches with your existing knowledge and picking up new skills along the way. 

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t mind getting stuck in and can think on their feet. It’s fast-paced and challenging but there are so many opportunities for you to grow with us as the agency is on its way up

Our ideal SEO analyst would

  • Experience working in SEO in a previous position
  • Strong knowledge of marketing or respective degree
  • Practical experience of technical SEO
  • Confident using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager
  • Knowledge of either SQL, R or Python
  • Understand and can interpret JavaScript tacking
  • Experience working in a marketing team with multiple disciplines
  • Able to manage time effectively and drive growth for clients
  • Knowledge of technical applications such as databases, ESPs and cloud platforms (e.g. GCP)
  • Strong analytics capability working with Google Analytics (experience in GA4), data studio and other dashboarding tools
  • Experience using SEO applications, such as ScreamingFrog, Ahrefs, AWR and SEMRush
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Able to coordinate and prioritise work
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Work quickly, efficiently and methodically
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Confident in meetings and communicating technical information

Roles and responsibilities

  • Keyword research - Conduct keyword research to identify high-value target keywords and analyse the competition. Create search landscape reports to provide search market insights to the team and client.
  • Technical SEO - Identify and fix technical SEO issues on the site related to site architecture, structured data, page speed, etc. Work with developers on required changes. Creating audits and performing regular technical/on-page checks. Provide reports on audit findings and create briefs to improve SEO.
  • Data analysis - Explore datasets across tools and applications to form recommendations for campaigns, optimisations and strategic approaches.
  • Identify and implement - Perform on-page optimisation including optimising page titles, meta descriptions, headings, content, etc. Identify issues negatively impacting SEO and propose solutions. Implement solutions and monitor success.
  • Performance tracking & analysis - Use tools to track keyword rankings, traffic metrics, conversions, and other KPIs. Identify issues impacting performance and design solutions to fix.
  • Algorithm updates - Stay up-to-date on search engine algorithm updates and adjust SEO efforts accordingly. Identify how this has impacted performance and create reporting to deliver findings to clients.
  • Collaboration - Collaborate with marketing, analytics, and development team members to improve SEO. Assist and consult with content, UX and media specialists to drive client growth.
  • Reporting - Prepare reports on SEO progress, key metrics, and optimisation recommendations. Prepare reports for management/stakeholders showing SEO KPIs including rankings, traffic, conversions and overall performance and ROI.
  • Meetings - Attend client meetings to present and deliver insights. Communicating complicated subject matter simply to clients in-person and with honesty.
