With Christmas fast approaching, Hug Rug wanted to spread festive cheer with a Christmas campaign that would end the year with a bang. The challenge was to develop a big, bold campaign that would drive engagement with their existing customer base, increase brand awareness and boost conversions.
A custom built 24 day interactive advent calendar that integrated seamlessly with Shopify’s backend. The advent calendar doors were developed to open only on the corresponding day of December, encouraging users to come back every day to see what new offer awaited them.

Users returned every day to see what was behind the next door, increasing sessions to the Hug Rug website by 92% compared to the previous period. Hug Rug’s email subscriber base grew by 45,000 users and revenue increased by £50K year on year.
