A Digital Home Upgrade

When the Shopify Online Store 2.0 upgrade rolled out, Ruma’s existing store theme fell behind and needed upgrading to the new architecture. Visually, the website wasn’t changing, so the challenge lay in replicating the entire theme structure while improving functionality where needed.

The upgraded theme was built on a Shopify development store, replicating the existing website as closely as possible while implementing improved code changes as required.

Detailed documentation allowed Ruma to review differences between each site and finalise the features they wanted to keep. Final modifications were then made based on their decisions.

An optimised, high-performing Shopify store that allows Ruma to manage and make changes more efficiently. Improvements were made across the website, including an increase in Shopify Speed Score.

Additional functionality was built into the upgraded store, such as product bundling and swatches, providing Ruma with the ability to enhance upselling opportunities and boost conversions.
